World Emoji Day has come around for another year, which means you’ll be seeing a lot more emojis than usual today. There’s a reason that the calendar emoji is dated July 17th and that’s because it marks World Emoji Day. I bet you didn’t know that? 

On Facebook Messenger alone, 5 billion emojis are sent every day with the tears of joy laughing face being the most popular emoji amongst the 3,304 emojis available

In today’s world, you can’t get away from emojis and brands are using them as part of their marketing campaigns more than ever now. There is an increase in mobile push notification open rate of 85% when they contain an emoji, which shows the true value of emoji’s in marketing campaigns. They even have their own film released which earned $217 million at the box office *shocked emoji*.
