Celebrating Chinese New Year in Style – Year of the Ox

祝所有中国用户新年快乐!

Happy new year to all of our Chinese users around the world, as we celebrate the Year of the Ox.

History

The Ox is the second of all zodiac animals. According to ancient myths, the Ox was about to be the first to arrive to a party for the emperor, but Rat tricked the Ox into giving him a ride. Just as they arrived, the Rat jumped down and landed ahead of the Ox. Hence why the Ox became the second animal.

Personality & Characteristics

In Chinese culture, the Ox is a very valuable animal. Ox pay a pivotal role in agriculture, they’re hard working animals and have an enormous amount of strength.

People that share the zodiac birth year of the ox are honest and earnest. They don’t like to be centre of attention, are generally low key and never look for praise. This results in them sometimes hiding their talent, but they’ll gain recognition through their hard work.

They believe that everyone should do what’s asked for them and stay in their lane. Rarely losing their temper, they think logically and make great leaders. They are generally kind as well, we like Ox!
